Historic Preservation Easement Valuation

The appraisal of preservation easements is evolving.  What was once acceptable, no longer applies, as new regulations and tax court rulings upend what was previously thought to be a given.  Clarion/Samuels Associates is a firm experienced in providing appraisals in support of preservation easement donations.  Our clients have included the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Internal Revenue Service, and private property owners.  Since 1990 the firm has worked on conservation and preservation easement assignments in Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Washington D.C.
